UK's First FASSI F905/F1050 Crane Trucks Continue Their Debut Tour

Mac's Truck Sales is celebrating the launch of the new FASSI TECHNO F905/F1050 cranes with an Open Day and Crane Operator Challenge at their large facility in Huddersfield.

Featuring 3 thrilling qualifying challenges and one grand final for the UK's best crane truck operators to take on, the event is set to be a showcase of accuracy, speed, and technical mastery of the trade.

The 4 challenges, designed and developed by the Mac’s Crane Test team, aim to simulate situations that operators would come across while working out in the field, featuring tight turns, obstacles, and of course, just like in the real world, working against the clock with time being added on for any penalties incurred. The stakes and pride will be high, with over 50 exceptionally skilled operators coming from all corners of the UK for the event, where one lucky winner will be crowned Mac’s Crane Operator of the year, walk away with a £1000 cash prize, and have ultimate bragging rights for the next 12 months.

Alex McDade Sales Director at Mac's Truck Sales said: "We're immensely excited to be hosting the first crane truck competition of this scale seen in the UK to date. The interest in the competition and crane trucks on show so far has been nothing short of exceptional, and we’re expecting hundreds of visitors on the day. The UK is home to a wide range of truly talented crane truck operators, and it will be a pleasure to help shine a light and celebrate the essential work they do across the industry with this fantastic event."

In addition to the operators, the stars of the show for many will be the latest FASSI Techno range cranes being used in the competition, including the world’s first FASSI F905 & F1050 cranes, with Mac’s having numbers 0001 & 0002, being the first dealer to have them fitted to complete trucks.

Andrew Hall, Mac's Technical Director, added: "As the biggest FASSI installer in Europe and thanks to our close collaboration with both FASSI UK and the factory in Italy, we were the first dealer to receive the new F905/F1050’s – we currently have 10 F905’s in build and 2 F1050’s so it's safe to say customers have received the first builds very positively. Ready for the new cranes, we introduced a new body and subframe design, which sees 500kgs of weight saved without any sacrifice in strength or yield - helping Mac’s achieve fantastic payloads whilst having the incredible lift and reach capabilities of the new cranes."

Andy added: "Being even smoother and more accurate than previous FASSI cranes, any participants in the competition will find the TECHNO range an absolute dream to use - helping them aim for the top prize in the competition."

Leigh Carter, FASSI UK Managing Director added: "FASSI's new F905R and F1050R cranes are a big step forward for the UK market, offering increased lifting capacity, extended reach, and smart control through the latest TECHNO platform. Capable where it counts but still compact enough to work across a variety of chassis, they are setting a new benchmark for truck-mounted cranes. Their launch shows FASSI UK’s continued focus on innovation and the strength of our dealer partnerships, particularly the 25-year relationship with Mac's Truck Sales, our authorised dealer for FASSI cranes mounted to complete vehicles. Together, we’re delivering fully integrated, road-ready solutions with the knowledge and support operators can rely on."
