Leading structural glass experts Ion Glass have announced the appointment of Neil Charles in the role as Project Manager, from the beginning of August.
"We are delighted to welcome Neil to the team," said Peter Hazeldean, MD of Ion Glass. "His appointment reinforces our commitment to the further growth of Ion Glass, especially in the heritage and ecclesiastical sectors."
As specialists in wholly bespoke installations every Ion Glass project is wholly unique, requiring careful management and understanding. Neil's excellent track record and proven experience will be invaluable in this pivotal role.
Ion Glass have worked on installations in some truly notable buildings including Tate Britain, Durham Castle, Caerphilly Castle, the National Gallery and Canterbury Cathedral – as well as many residential, commercial and heritage properties.
Neil brings many years of experience to this role, having previously worked as Operations Manager for Cova Security Gates - a leading international engineering company. He replaces Colin Fuller who will be taking on the new position of Client Liaison Manager within Ion Glass, working directly with clients from the initial enquiry right through to project handover.
"This is such an exciting time for Ion Glass," continued Peter. "Our fully bespoke approach can be challenging but every job brings a high level of satisfaction – whether it’s a domestic installation, structural glass in a small village church or a high profile project for a national landmark. We are delighted to be expanding our Team with a new and highly qualified Project Manager – I am extremely confident that Neil’s experience will invaluable as the company grows."
