Kori Construction has announced it will build a new 70-bed care home in Norfolk for leading care home developer Abora Developments.
The facility will be located on land next to Taverham Nursery Centre on Fir Covert Road and will feature a range of high-quality amenities for residents, including a private dining room, cafés and lounges on each floor, a hair salon, library, cinema and landscaped gardens.
Plans also include associated car and cycle parking, landscaped grounds, and communal amenity spaces. Accessibility has been prioritised throughout the design, with step-free access to all areas and two passenger lifts positioned near the main entrance.
The site was formerly home to a garden centre and is situated near the new Lidl store and Taverham Vets. Once completed, the care home will be registered with the Care Quality Commission and is expected to create around 70 jobs locally.
Jordan Connachie, Managing Director at Kori Construction, said: "We are delighted to be beginning our partnership with Abora Developments through this latest scheme. This project reflects our shared commitment to delivering exceptional later living environments that combine quality, comfort, and community. We look forward to bringing the vision to life and creating a home where residents can truly thrive."
Construction work has already begun, with completion scheduled for the first quarter of 2027.
