Dacorum Borough Council has joined forces with award-winning housebuilder The Hill Group to form a new long-term investment partnership aimed at accelerating the delivery of affordable housing and driving significant regeneration across the borough.
The Dacorum Investment Partnership will be an equal investment and decision-making collaboration between the Council and Hill. Its objectives include increasing the supply of affordable homes, unlocking strategic regeneration sites in town centres and neighbourhoods, and creating sustainable income streams for the Council.
One of the key priorities will be Hemel Hempstead town centre, where the Council’s Town Centre Vision sets out plans to transform the area into a vibrant cultural and leisure destination. The regeneration is expected to deliver new homes alongside commercial and leisure facilities, re-establishing the town centre as a lively and attractive hub for residents, businesses, and visitors.
Hill brings to the partnership a proven track record in building sustainable homes, delivering estate regeneration, and leading large-scale mixed-use developments in collaboration with local authorities. Its expertise in masterplanning, planning, procurement, and project delivery will help ensure that developments progress quickly and meet the highest standards.
Andy Hill OBE, founder and Group Chief Executive at The Hill Group, said: "This partnership marks an exciting chapter for Dacorum, and we are proud to bring our expertise to support the borough’s housing and regeneration ambitions. At Hill, we are passionate about creating sustainable and inclusive communities that have a lasting positive impact. Through this collaboration, we look forward to delivering quality homes and vibrant places that reflect the character and aspirations of the people of Dacorum. Together we will lay the foundations for a thriving, sustainable and inclusive future for the borough."
