Network Rail Wales and Borders has announced significant refurbishment work on Coedtrehen Bridge, located near Maesteg Road, scheduled to take place over the August bank holiday weekend.
The project will run continuously from 10pm on Friday, 22 August, until 5pm on Monday, 25 August. Crews will carry out a range of essential upgrades, including bridge strengthening, painting, and resurfacing, as part of ongoing infrastructure improvements in the region.
Due to the scale of the work, train services between Bridgend and Maesteg will be suspended on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 August. Replacement bus services will operate during this period to maintain connectivity for passengers.
