A series of resurfacing projects are set to begin over the coming weeks across north and central Manchester, as part of Manchester City Council's ongoing efforts to improve road conditions in response to resident feedback.

The works are part of a wider programme to upgrade key district roads, following recent public engagement in which residents highlighted road surface quality as a top priority.

Starting Saturday, 9 August, resurfacing will begin on Hollinwood Avenue, with work scheduled over six consecutive weekends. The affected stretch runs from Greengates Roundabout to the Oldham boundary at Owler Lane. Work will take place between 8am and 5pm on weekends, with the road remaining open to traffic during the working week. A diversion route will be clearly signposted, and local access will be maintained at all times.

One week later, on Saturday, 16 August, work will begin on Moss Lane East, between Alexandra Road and Princess Road. These works are expected to take six weeks, with daily activity from 7am to 5pm on weekdays and 8am to 5pm on weekends. During this period, the road will be fully closed, with a signed diversion in place. Access for residents will again be maintained throughout.
