Glencar Appointed To Deliver New Sustainable Industrial Scheme

Construction firm Glencar has been appointed by Franco-British real estate developer BARJANE to build a state-of-the-art industrial and logistics facility at Central Park, Rugby.

The new development, known as Rugby 106, will occupy a five-acre site formerly home to a 45,000 sq ft office and workshop complex. The cleared and fully enabled site is strategically located just off Junction 1 of the M6 and just 3.5 miles from Junction 19 of the M1, offering direct access to the national motorway network.

The facility will comprise 106,196 sq ft of premium industrial space, including 87,000 sq ft of warehousing, two floors of Cat A open-plan office space, high-quality welfare areas, and a flexible operational mezzanine. Key features include a 14m clear internal height, a first-floor terrace, ample car parking and service yards, and extensive landscaping. The development will also benefit from adjacent parkland and nearby retail amenities.

Peter Goodman, Managing Director at Glencar, said: "We're excited to be delivering this landmark, high-specification development in partnership with BARJANE. As a business renowned for its sustainable and forward-thinking logistics projects, BARJANE sets high standards – and we're proud to have been selected to help realise their vision for this strategically important site. With our proven expertise in delivering complex, high-quality industrial schemes, we’re confident this collaboration will produce an exceptional facility that sets a new benchmark."
