Wates Property Services (WPS) has been selected by Aster Group to lead a major energy efficiency upgrade across more than 750 homes in the South of England and London, as part of the housing association's drive to meet EPC C+ standards by 2030.
The £20 million, three-year programme will see WPS collaborate with teams from Liberty and NetZero Collective to deliver a comprehensive package of retrofit improvements. These include cavity wall and loft insulation, ventilation upgrades, new windows and doors, and the installation of renewable energy technologies such as air source heat pumps and solar panels.
The initiative is designed to improve living standards for residents by enhancing home warmth and reducing energy bills, while also advancing Aster’s long-term sustainability goals.
Gary Bellenger, Director of Home Strategy and Sustainability at Aster Group, said: "We want our homes to be warmer, better insulated and ready for the future, whether that’s through modern heating systems, improved insulation or renewable energy, and collaborations like this will play an integral role in making this happen.
"This new partnership with WPS marks an important step in how we deliver major energy efficiency programmes. This work is about more than meeting targets; it's about investing in our homes to improve the lives of our customers."
