Anwyl Homes has reached a significant construction milestone at its Lottie Gardens development in Bebington, just nine months after acquiring the nearly nine-acre site.

Named in honour of Bebington-born tennis and golf champion Lottie Dod, the development will deliver 127 high-quality homes ranging from one to four bedrooms. The project marks Anwyl's first private sale housing scheme on the Wirral.

Demolition work is now complete on the site, formerly part of Unilever's Port Sunlight Research & Development campus. With the clearance phase finished, engineers are preparing sections of the site for construction to begin, with the first phase handover scheduled for August.

A sales area is currently being prepared on site, with a temporary sales office set to welcome potential buyers in September. Show homes are expected to open early in 2026.

Once complete, every home will include a private garden and off-road parking. A woodland area within the site will be preserved and connected to nearby St Andrews Road via a new footpath, providing green space for residents.

As part of the planning agreement, Anwyl will invest £677,000 into local community projects, supporting parks, sports facilities, biodiversity initiatives, and improvements to transport infrastructure.
