Fulcrum has significantly broadened its gas outlet pipework offerings to better serve clients managing large-scale commercial and industrial developments.
As one of the few companies in the UK able to provide a complete gas outlet pipework solution for complex and sizeable sites, Fulcrum now delivers a full lifecycle service—from design and installation to maintenance, leakage detection, and safe decommissioning.
A key enhancement to the service is the introduction of advanced leakage surveys, which are performed without shutting down the gas supply. This innovation minimises disruption to site operations while accurately identifying any faults or inefficiencies. These surveys are part of a wider maintenance package designed to uphold gas system integrity, regulatory compliance, and site safety.
Fulcrum also offers specialist gas outlet decommissioning for businesses transitioning to alternative fuels or preparing sites for redevelopment, ensuring safe and compliant removal of gas infrastructure.
All work is carried out by Gas Safe registered engineers and complies fully with IGEM (Institution of Gas Engineers and Managers) standards, giving clients peace of mind regarding safety and technical excellence.
Tom Overfield, Divisional Director for Fulcrum's Multi-Utility Operations, said: "We've developed our specialist gas outlet pipework services to give customers the confidence that their gas outlet infrastructure is in safe hands, whether it’s being installed, maintained, or compliantly decommissioned. Crucially, we don’t just rely on remote assessments or assumptions made over the phone. For new and existing installations, we've introduced a more hands-on approach when needed, by carrying out initial enquiries through gas outlet specialists, on site. This dedicated service from our team allows us to get a true understanding of the environment, technical challenges, and customer priorities from the outset.
"What sets Fulcrum apart in this area is its ability to manage gas outlet pipework projects at scale. Many utility providers don’t have the specialist skills or real-world experience to deliver complex works on large sites, whether that's live environments, industrial zones, or demolition sites preparing for energy transition.
"We offer a fully managed, end-to-end service, carried out by highly qualified, Gas Safe engineers to the highest safety and regulatory standards. It's that combination of technical strength, responsiveness and personal service that makes us a trusted partner for gas outlet pipework services across the UK."
