Galliford Try has earned three nominations at this year's Constructing Excellence (CE) East Midlands Awards, recognising the company's excellence in healthcare infrastructure, sustainability and collaborative delivery.

The Building East Midlands team has been shortlisted for its work on the new Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) at Florence Nightingale Community Hospital in Derby. Delivered for the University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Trust, the CDC is a state-of-the-art diagnostic hub designed to improve patient experience and streamline clinical operations.

The facility integrates advanced medical technologies and offers a comprehensive range of diagnostic services, including CT and MRI scans, ultrasound, X-ray, mammography, phlebotomy, echocardiography, cardiology, and respiratory testing. The project brought together clinical, design, construction, and technology teams to deliver a modern, efficient, and patient-focused environment.

The CDC project has received dual recognition, also being nominated in the Retrofit Project category for its successful transformation of existing infrastructure into a cutting-edge healthcare facility.

In the Integration and Collaborative Working category, Galliford Try's Environment business has been recognised for the Mansfield Sustainable Flood Resilience project. Delivered in partnership with Severn Trent, this innovative initiative is the UK's first and largest retrofit Sustainable Urban Drainage System (SuDS) scheme. It uses nature-based solutions to combat flood risks and address climate change challenges in urban environments.

The Mansfield project has also attracted national recognition, being shortlisted for the Water Project Award at this year’s British Construction and Infrastructure Awards.
