Construction firm Kier has signed a Pre-Construction Services Agreement (PCSA) with global healthcare company Haleon to deliver a state-of-the-art Oral Health Innovation Hub in Weybridge, Surrey.

The landmark project, announced by the UK Government during its International Investment Summit, will play a key role in supporting research and development for Haleon, whose portfolio includes well-known brands such as Sensodyne, Centrum and Panadol.

Set to become a global centre of excellence in oral health research, the four-storey facility will house digitally enabled laboratories, modern office workspaces, and a dedicated consumer behavioural research centre. One of its standout features will be a digital immersive room, designed to connect the UK hub with Haleon's manufacturing site in Levice, Slovakia, enabling seamless collaboration between R&D and production.

The project was formally launched today with a groundbreaking ceremony attended by representatives from Kier and Haleon, as well as Baroness Jones of Whitchurch, the UK Minister for Technology.

The development will also include a new car park building, with 50% of spaces fitted for electric vehicle charging, as well as extensive landscaping and living roofs designed to enhance local biodiversity and environmental sustainability.
