Three major projects delivered by Farrans have been named among the UK and Ireland’s best in the shortlist for the 2025 British Construction and Infrastructure Awards.

The Gull Wing Bridge in Suffolk, constructed by Farrans on behalf of Suffolk County Council, has been shortlisted in the Best Transport Project category. The landmark lifting bridge is one of the most significant infrastructure projects in the region and aims to improve traffic flow and connectivity in Lowestoft.

In Glasgow, the Govan to Partick Bridge, another Farrans-led project for Glasgow City Council, has earned a place on the shortlist for Project Team Excellence, recognising the collaborative effort and delivery expertise that brought the project to life.

Meanwhile, the Farrans Sacyr joint venture, which is leading construction on Belfast Grand Central Station for Translink, has been shortlisted in an impressive three categories: the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Impact Award, the Social Value and Community Impact Award, and the Construction Excellence Award. These nominations reflect the project's wide-reaching impact, from site safety and workforce wellbeing to its contributions to the local community and construction quality.

In addition, Translink has received a nomination in the Digital Impact Award category for its use of digital innovation at the Belfast Grand Central Station project.
