Infrastructure solutions company Costain has been selected as one of six suppliers for National Highways' newly launched Specialist Professional and Technical Services Framework (SPaTS3).

The framework, which builds on the previous SPaTS2 programme, is expected to be worth up to £495 million over six years. It will support the entire duration of the UK’s Roads Investment Strategy 3 (RIS3), covering the period from 2026 to 2031.

As part of the agreement, Costain will work alongside National Highways and the other chosen suppliers to help deliver a safer, more reliable, and environmentally sustainable road network. The company will contribute expert technical and engineering advice, focusing on areas including electric vehicle infrastructure, health and safety, and environmental performance.

Drawing on its previous framework experience, Costain aims to deliver high-quality, future-ready solutions through its in-house team and extended supply chain.
