Construction has officially been completed on Molson Coors Brewing Company's new UK headquarters in Burton-on-Trent, delivering a state-of-the-art 10,300m² facility to support the brewer’s expanding operations across the UK and Ireland.
The project, led by main contractor Clegg Food Projects, involved the transformation of a historic site into a modern office hub. The scheme included the careful restoration of existing heritage structures, as well as the construction of a new office block and a striking glazed atrium link building.
Construction began in summer 2023, with Clegg Food Projects working closely alongside Molson Coors and BHB Architects to preserve the site's architectural legacy while introducing modern infrastructure in line with 21st-century building standards. The completed headquarters has been designed to reflect the character of Burton upon Trent's rich brewing history, while meeting the needs of a contemporary workforce.
"We're extremely proud to have been involved in this project," said Oliver Jenkins, business development manager at Clegg Food Projects. "Our team worked closely with the entire project team to preserve the building's heritage while delivering a modern, sustainable workplace.
"The new HQ not only cements Molson Coors’ rich legacy in the brewing industry but also reflects the company's commitment to the future."
The headquarters will accommodate more than 500 employees, featuring a double-height entrance and reception, a modern atrium with social breakout areas, and a mix of formal and informal meeting rooms arranged around a branded tap bar—highlighting the company's product identity.
Additional amenities include an expansive staff food and drink area, improved car parking, electric vehicle charging points, and secure cycle storage. The external environment has also benefited from extensive landscaping to enhance the experience for staff and visitors alike.
