Construction work on the Alexandra Theatre redevelopment in Bognor Regis is progressing on schedule, as the project continues to reshape one of the town’s most iconic cultural landmarks.

The latest project update confirms that key construction milestones have been achieved, including the commencement of piling work. This follows the successful completion of preparatory enabling works, such as asbestos removal, service isolations, and the demolition of existing structures.

• Piling Underway: With the piling mat and haul road now complete, piling activities have begun, marking a crucial phase in foundational construction.


• Enabling Works Completed: All major preparatory work is finished, ensuring the site is ready for main construction.

Next steps for the Alexandra Theatre project include the ongoing installation of scaffold structures to support forthcoming structural, roofing and façade work. Meanwhile, procurement of specialist construction packages is progressing well, with the most recent valuation submitted and certified, demonstrating strong financial oversight and commercial progress.
