Leaf Living and Vistry Group have marked a major milestone in their national housing partnership with the handover of their 1,000th jointly delivered home at The Burrows development in Paddock Wood, Kent.
The event was attended by Councillor Astra Birch, Cabinet Member for Housing and Communities at Tunbridge Wells Borough Council.
The achievement comes less than 18 months after the two organisations formalised a major delivery agreement in November 2023, committing to provide 1,522 new-build rental homes by early 2027. The Burrows development, which is already home to 53 renters, now includes the landmark 1,000th property delivered under the partnership.
Leaf Living and Vistry Group have worked together to meet the growing demand for high-quality rental homes in well-connected locations across the country.
Speaking at the handover event, Will Montague, CEO of Leaf Living, said: "The 1,000th home to be handed over as part of our partnership with Vistry is testament to our commitment to delivering much-needed and high-quality rental homes at scale in England. Offering choice to customers is absolutely crucial for fixing the housing crisis. Homes for families to rent, in thriving communities in good locations, provide a sustainable and long-term solution for people who can’t get onto the housing ladder but need the stability and security that a traditional rental property might not provide."
Chris Bladon, Divisional Chair for Vistry Group, also attended the event and said: "Our investment in large-scale delivery with Leaf Living has enabled us to deliver high-quality new rental homes at scale and at pace, a transformative opportunity to help address the country’s chronic need for housing. We are very pleased to be celebrating the delivery of the 1,000th home with our valued partner, and to see Vistry continuing to provide the mix of homes that communities need."
