Galliford Try's Environment business has been recognised as a finalist in two categories at the upcoming Water Industry Awards, organised by Utility Week, highlighting the company’s commitment to engineering excellence and health and safety innovation.
The Exmouth Outfall project has been shortlisted for Alliance or Partnership of the Year, celebrated for its outstanding engineering achievement and collaborative delivery. The scheme was completed ahead of schedule, within budget, and with a strong focus on safety, sustainability, and operational excellence, an outcome that underscores the strength of Galliford Try's partnership and supply chain model.
Meanwhile, the company’s Protect and Prevent initiative has been nominated for Health and Safety Initiative of the Year. Developed in response to a rise in service strikes, the programme aims to transform behaviours, strengthen planning, and embed industry best practices. By enhancing service detection, applying rigorous risk assessments, and introducing avoidance innovations, the initiative promotes a culture where zero service strikes are the standard.
