Gentoo To Invest Over £250,000 In Its 2025 Apprenticeship Programme

Housing provider Gentoo Group has announced a major investment of more than £250,000 in its 2025 apprenticeship programme.

Gentoo is to host an open day on Saturday 10 May from 9.30am to 1pm at its head office, Emperor House, located in Doxford International Business Park. The event is open to anyone interested in applying for an apprenticeship and will offer insight into the variety of roles available across trades, housing, and business disciplines. Gentoo colleagues will be on hand to answer questions, discuss the application process and share their experiences.

Since its formation in 2001, Gentoo has welcomed over 350 apprentices and is continuing its mission to make apprenticeships as accessible as possible. In a move aimed at breaking down barriers, the organisation will remove GCSE entry requirements for applicants aged over 19, where appropriate, enabling more people to benefit from the opportunity.

Gentoo is also placing an increased focus on supporting its own customers and care leavers. Applicants from these groups who meet the entry criteria will be guaranteed an interview, in line with the Group’s commitment to inclusive recruitment.

Susan Fulton, Executive Director of Customer, People and Engagement at Gentoo Group, said: "Our popular apprenticeship scheme is an excellent opportunity to start your career at Gentoo. Our apprentices are the future of the organisation and every single one of them is a credit to us.

"This year, we have committed to offering more of the roles to our customers. This is something that is extremely important to us as an organisation to ensure we are supporting our communities."
