Bedford Borough Council has successfully completed a footpath refurbishment programme across several of its parks and open spaces.

The initiative, funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF), targeted key parks across the borough following a detailed review that identified areas in need of repair or full refurbishment. The works have been carried out in Jubilee Park, Allen Park, Southfields, the open space behind Mallard Hill, Castle Mound, Priory Country Park, and Bedford Park.

Councillor Sarah Gallagher, Portfolio Holder for Customer Experience, Leisure and Culture at Bedford Borough Council, said: "We are delighted with the progress of this refurbishment programme. Our parks and open spaces are treasured by both residents and visitors, and these improvements will enhance their overall experience.
