QuikSTATS, a subsidiary of Kier Group, has secured a contract with National Highways to provide underground utilities mapping services across England's strategic road network.
The contract, valued at up to £9 million, spans three years with an option for a one-year extension. This agreement designates QuikSTATS as the sole provider for C2 utility stat searches for National Highways.
C2 searches are essential for identifying the locations of underground utilities and infrastructure to PAS128-D standard, aiming to protect both the workforce and the public by understanding potential risks before excavation begins. Traditionally, this process involves manually contacting various utility providers, which can be time-consuming. Under the new contract, QuikSTATS is committed to delivering the majority of information packs within 30 minutes of request.
Since its launch in 2021, QuikSTATS has delivered approximately 230,000 information packs for highways and utilities projects throughout the UK. The service offers detailed underground utility mapping, providing comprehensive data crucial for planning, managing, and executing infrastructure works.
