Public Consultation Launched For Major Manchester And Salford Regeneration Plans

An eight-week consultation and engagement process has commenced to gather local feedback on ambitious plans to transform the city centre fringe areas of Manchester and Salford over the next decade.

Manchester City Council (MCC) and Salford City Council (SCC) are collaborating on proposals that could deliver 7,000 new homes across seven distinct neighbourhoods, supporting 4,500 jobs.

The Draft Strategic Regeneration Framework (SRF) for Strangeways and Cambridge has already been reviewed by both councils’ Executive and Cabinet committees. Now, local residents, businesses, and other stakeholders are being invited to have their say on the vision for the area.
