Plans for a 271,750 sq ft industrial and logistics development in Sheffield have been granted outline planning consent, paving the way for a major regeneration project that could create up to 500 jobs.

The scheme, known as Europa Sheffield, is set to be developed off Junction 34 of the M1 on Europa Way, adjacent to the well-established Sheffield Business Park and within the heart of the Advanced Manufacturing Innovation District (AMID). The prime location is already home to major businesses, including Pretty Little Thing, Great Bear, IKEA, Motorpoint, and Meadowhall.

Rula Developments, a specialist in logistics and warehousing solutions, plans to demolish the existing factory premises on-site to make way for a modern, high-quality industrial unit. While the project is designed as a single 271,750 sq ft unit, the developer remains open to splitting the site to accommodate occupier demand.

The development is being marketed by CPP and Colliers, with The Harris Partnership leading the architectural design alongside Adept Consulting Engineers and RPP. ID Planning supported the planning application process.

With planning approval secured, the project is expected to enhance Sheffield's industrial and logistics infrastructure, further strengthening the city's position as a hub for advanced manufacturing and distribution.
