Multidisciplinary property and construction consultancy EDGE has relocated its Nottingham team to a new office in the city’s historic Lace Market, marking a significant move to enhance its project management, cost management, building surveying, and advisory services.
The new office is designed to support a rapidly expanding roster of national and regional clients.
The team of 40 had outgrown their previous office at Heritage Mews, next to Nottingham Contemporary. The newly refurbished office is located in The Birkin Building, a Grade II-listed former lace house, offering a more collaborative and modern working environment.
Geoff Tindsley, Director at EDGE's Nottingham office, said: "Aligned with our recent brand refresh and continued focus on people, our new Nottingham office creates the ideal space to improve collaboration for our growing team, while allowing flexibility for continued expansion. The character and inspiration of working within such a prestigious building in the city made it the perfect choice for us."
Tindsley also highlighted the strategic significance of the city for the firm. "As the founding office, Nottingham has always been a strategic location for EDGE. Our new office fits comfortably in this creative city. We have an affinity with the region as many of our people grew up here and our established client base reflects the region’s broad-based identity."
The relocation is part of EDGE's broader growth strategy, which includes attracting top talent in the industry while supporting national expansion plans. Tindsley added: "The new office will enable us to attract and retain the very best people in the industry, while supporting our ambitious national growth plans. The Nottingham team have worked incredibly hard to get us to this point, and we couldn’t be any prouder of what we’ve collectively achieved."
EDGE has long had a presence in Nottingham, supporting a wide range of national and regional clients across sectors including commercial, education, healthcare, manufacturing, automotive, and infrastructure. The firm is involved in several regional frameworks, including those with Nottingham University Hospitals NHS FT, University of Nottingham, and London Luton Airport.
The Nottingham office is currently overseeing several high-profile projects, such as the NHP-funded National Rehabilitation Centre at Stanford Hall, Nottingham College’s Stoney Street campus, student accommodation in the city, and ongoing work with United Lincolnshire NHS FT and London Luton Airport.
