Cold Developments, the build and fit-out contractor, has completed the refurbishment of the Holden Kia dealership on Barker Street, Norwich.
The dealership is now open to the public after undergoing a significant transformation to reflect Kia's global rebrand.
The refurbishment aligns with Kia's new brand identity, introduced in 2021, which features a refreshed logo and underscores the company’s leadership in electrification. As part of this rebranding, Kia has designed the 'Kia Store' concept to revolutionise the look and feel of its dealerships, and the Norwich location is the latest to embrace this modern, customer-focused design.
The new showroom is divided into two distinct zones: a ‘customer zone’ with wood accents and comfortable seating areas, and a ‘display zone’ that highlights the latest Kia models. An interactive system known as the Kia 'Showcase' has also been installed, enabling customers to take a virtual tour of any Kia model in-depth.
Cold Developments, based in Nottingham, carried out the full strip-out and fit-out of the dealership over a 10-week period. The extensive works included the respray of external cladding and shop front, the installation of a new HVAC system and suspended ceiling, as well as full decoration throughout. Other updates included new lighting, doors, partitions, and glazed curtain walling to create the sales office. The refurbishment also involved the installation of hygienic internal cladding, new customer toilets, and new wall panelling, display screens and furniture.
