Amethyst Homes, a Northeast housebuilder, has further strengthened its team with the appointment of a new Quantity Surveyor, Hannah Maurice.
The 33-year-old, from Whitley Bay, joins the company as it continues to grow, expanding its workforce from just three to 28 over the past decade.
In her new role, Hannah will be responsible for estimating project costs, calculating material requirements, and mapping out timelines for development projects. With significant industry experience, Hannah began her career as a graduate with a national housebuilder before moving to a regional developer in the Midlands. She holds a Business and Applied Finance Degree, along with an HNC in Construction.
"I was interested in moving from a large PLC developer to a smaller, regional housebuilder, like Amethyst, because I find the product and range of sites far more interesting," said Hannah. "In addition, I feel that as part of a smaller team, you can offer a more personalised customer service to clients and homebuyers."
Hannah continued: "Amethyst Homes has a great reputation for building a quality product and has an experienced, close-knit team which is incredibly supportive. I look forward to helping the company continue to deliver much-needed housing across the region."
Richard Bass, Managing Director at Amethyst Homes, welcomed Hannah to the team, said: "It is great to have Hannah onboard, she is a welcome addition to our growing team. She has a good grounding in the industry and is acutely aware of the current challenges in the market, not least the elongated planning process and supply chain constraints. I am confident that Hannah will be able to work closely with our supply chain and partnering organisations to overcome these challenges, enabling us to deliver our high standard of properties to customers in a cost-effective and timely manner."
