Major Milestone For Nexus BTR Development In Stevenage

The Hill Group and Lloyds Living have celebrated a major milestone in the construction of Nexus, a 264-home Build-to-Rent (BTR) development in Stevenage town centre, with a traditional topping out ceremony.

This marks the highest point of construction for the project, which is Hill's first BTR venture in partnership with Lloyds Living as it expands into the sector.

The ceremony was attended by representatives from The Hill Group and Lloyds Living, acknowledging progress on the 16-storey apartment building—the tallest of three within the development, designed to provide high-quality rental homes for the local community. The building comprises 100 one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments, catering to modern professional renters.

Strategically located near Stevenage's old town and railway station, Nexus has been carefully designed to meet the needs of urban professionals. Future residents will benefit from exclusive on-site amenities, including:

• A concierge service

• A fully equipped gym

• Co-working spaces

• Parking facilities

Upon completion in 2026, Lloyds Living, an experienced operator in the BTR sector, will oversee the management and leasing of the apartments.

Nexus is a key phase of Hill's wider masterplan for Stevenage town centre, which will ultimately deliver 592 new homes across various tenures, set within landscaped green spaces and high-quality public areas.

With construction now reaching this significant milestone, the Nexus development is set to play a major role in transforming Stevenage's rental market, providing modern, well-connected homes for the growing community.

Andy Hill OBE, founder and Group Chief Executive of The Hill Group, commented: "Reaching this construction milestone is significant because it marks the start of Hill's expansion into Build to Rent and celebrates our partnership with Lloyds Living. It's great to see the progress that is already being made at Nexus to deliver high-quality rental homes with excellent amenities in the heart of Stevenage."
