The Fiddington Fields development in Tewkesbury has received the green light for its next phase, bringing 304 new homes to the growing community.
Persimmon Homes Severn Valley will soon begin construction on phase three, which includes a mix of one-to-five-bedroom homes. Of these, 105 properties will be allocated to a local housing association, helping to ease pressure on local housing waiting lists. One further phase is planned to complete the development.
All homes in this phase will feature solar panels and electric vehicle charging points, supporting sustainable living. The development will also include:
• Five play areas for families.
• A spine road with bus stops and dedicated pedestrian and cycle paths to enhance connectivity.
• A 15m-wide ecological corridor to the south, with retained trees and hedgerows to support local biodiversity.
• Installation of bird and bat boxes to encourage local wildlife.
Persimmon's financial contributions to local services will exceed £4 million, including:
• Over £700,000 for library and bus services.
• More than £3.4 million for early years and primary education.
