The builder behind the Valley Park development in Didcot has marked a significant milestone with an agreement to provide homes for a local housing provider.
Persimmon Homes Wessex celebrated its deal with CBRE Investment Management at the site, joined by Pinnacle Group, the registered provider, alongside Airey Miller and the Vale of White Horse District Council’s cabinet member for planning.
The agreement will see 59 high-quality new homes delivered as part of the first phase of Valley Park, helping to address local housing needs and waiting lists.
This announcement follows recent planning approval for the first primary school at Valley Park, a collaborative effort between Persimmon Homes and Taylor Wimpey. The school, a key part of the development’s northern phase, will feature a three-form entry primary school, a nursery, and community-use spaces.
Persimmon Homes currently offers two, three, and four-bedroom homes for sale at Valley Park, starting from £245,995. Each home will be equipped with sustainable features such as air source heat pumps, electric vehicle charging points, and solar panels.
Once complete, Valley Park will provide essential amenities, including two primary schools, an SEN school, local centres, and sports facilities, all within easy reach of shops, schools, restaurants, and services in the vibrant town of Didcot.
Commenting, Persimmon Homes Wessex's deputy Managing Director, Seb Spiller, said: "We're delighted to have finalised our agreement with CBRE Investment Management and Pinnacle to deliver homes for a local housing association at Valley Park.
"This development is a major one that will benefit thousands of families in Oxfordshire, and the significant proportion of it that will be reserved for housing associations is a core part of our mission to leave a positive and lasting legacy where we build.
"Persimmon looks forward to building on our partnership with Pinnacle at Valley Park."
