Vistry Group has purchased a site in Worcester from Bloor Homes, paving the way for the construction of 233 new homes.
The site, which already has outline planning permission, is part of the larger Elgar Park development, a thriving community established by Bloor Homes. Vistry has secured reserved matters approval for the first phase of 72 homes, with construction scheduled to begin this month.
In partnership with Sigma, a leading provider in the Build to Rent (BTR) sector, Vistry will deliver 70 of the homes for Sigma's BTR brand, Simple Life Homes. The remaining homes will include 33 for social rent, 14 for shared ownership, and 116 for general market sale under one of Vistry's housebuilding brands.
Supriya Ray, Managing Director of Vistry Cotswolds, said: "We've worked closely with Bloor to secure this site which will deliver a significant number of mixed-tenure homes. By collaborating again with our long-term partner Sigma, we can provide a range of high-quality homes for rent, whilst also using the Group’s well-known open market housebuilding brand Bovis Homes, giving local people an excellent range of housing choices."
