Hillingdon Council has acquired 12 new homes at Carpenters Court in Uxbridge.
Leader of Hillingdon Council, Cllr Ian Edwards and Cllr Steve Tuckwell, Cabinet Member for Planning, Housing and Growth, visited the site to officially mark the handover of the properties from local developer Kearns Development Ltd.
The £1.2 million purchase was supported by funding from the Greater London Authority, contributing to the acquisition of 185 new council homes in the 2024/25 period alone.
The newly acquired properties, which include one, two, and three-bedroom flats, come fully furnished with white goods and are equipped with electric panel heating systems that can be controlled remotely via mobile devices. Additionally, the homes are fitted with solar panels, a sustainable feature designed to help reduce energy costs for residents while supporting future energy needs.
