Avant Homes has submitted plans for a £66.5 million multi-tenure housing development in Thurnscoe, near Barnsley, proposing the construction of 300 energy-efficient homes.
The development, located on land off Thurnscoe Bridge Lane, will include a mix of two-, three-, and four-bedroom homes, featuring 13 of Avant Homes’ modern and practical house designs. Of the 300 homes, 30 will be designated as affordable housing, contributing to the local community’s housing needs.
Pending approval by Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council, construction is scheduled to begin in May 2025. The first residents are expected to move into their new homes by January 2026.
The project will be delivered by Avant Homes West Yorkshire, furthering the company's commitment to providing sustainable and accessible housing solutions.
