Willmott Dixon has been appointed as a supplier on the NHS Shared Business Services Decarbonisation of Estates Framework, a four-year program valued at £500 million. This achievement positions the company to deliver energy efficiency upgrades for NHS Trusts and public sector estates across the UK.
The framework provides opportunities for appointed businesses to bid on projects aimed at enhancing the energy efficiency and sustainability of healthcare and public sector buildings. Willmott Dixon's extensive experience in healthcare construction, including over 50 completed projects and recent decarbonisation efforts for Oxford City Council, Oxfordshire County Council, and Somerset County Council, was pivotal in securing its appointment to Lot 1 of the framework.
The company's scope of work will span multiple regions, including the North of England, Midlands, London and the South East, South West, and Wales. Under a single contract, Willmott Dixon will implement a comprehensive range of decarbonisation measures. These include installing insulation, solar energy systems, renewable heating solutions, LED lighting, improved windows, and advanced building management systems, as well as upgrading air conditioning, cooling, and ventilation systems.
