Leicester City Council has begun work to enhance Duns Lane in the Braunstone Gate area, aiming to create a safer and more accessible space for pedestrians, cyclists, and other road users.

The project will see the installation of new cycle tracks and upgraded footpaths along the entire stretch of Duns Lane, spanning from Braunstone Gate to St Augustine Road. The improvements are expected to take approximately 12 weeks to complete.

During the construction period, Duns Lane will be restricted to one-way traffic heading from Braunstone Gate towards St Augustine Road. Drivers are advised to follow a clearly signposted diversion route.

Despite the ongoing roadworks, businesses in the area will remain open as usual, ensuring continued access for customers throughout the project.
