Homebuilder Anwyl has promoted Lauren Humphreys to its newly created role of Head of Human Resources. Lauren, who has served as the company's HR and Culture Manager for nearly three years, brings a wealth of experience to the position.
Based in Ewloe, Anwyl has recognised Lauren's contributions and expertise, which include a decade of HR experience across banking and manufacturing industries. Her career includes roles at prominent organisations such as MBNA, Jaguar Land Rover, and Morrisons.
Originally from Ruthin, Lauren is a Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) member and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Cardiff University. In 2014, she was awarded a scholarship to study cultural relations at the University of California, Los Angeles.
In her new role, Lauren will oversee the human resources strategy for Anwyl, including employee engagement, well-being initiatives, and talent development. As one of nearly 20% of Anwyl's workforce trained as a mental health first aider, she emphasises the company's commitment to employee well-being.
She said: "I’m focussed on delivering our people strategy, which has been designed to support the company’s planned growth, while maintaining a proactive approach to legislative changes being driven by the new government.
"It's vital we maintain a skilled workforce with the right support for our colleagues to enable them to perform at the highest level. This ensures they can deliver the best possible homes and service to our customers.
"As a family business we are also committed to making a difference to our colleagues’ working lives, so they can grow their careers while feeling confident and supported in their roles. Anwyl has strong values in place and a visible senior management team who lead by example. This has really helped to create a collaborative and supportive workforce."
