Pick Everard has appointed a new national director to strengthen its leadership team and further grow the service offering.
Mostafa Chowdhury brings 20 years of experience in health and safety to his new role, where he will focus on further enhancing Pick Everard’s national offering. His expertise has been built up across a portfolio of high-profile clients in a range of sectors, including construction, logistics, rail, and renewable energy.
His career history includes playing an instrumental role in the delivery of nationally significant projects, such as the largest contract issued in Network Rail’s history for the TransPennine Route Upgrade, and the RIBA stage 3 design of Old Oak Common, the largest station to be built in 100 years.
Mostafa is committed to challenging current ways of working to facilitate new, innovative approaches to risk management with a core focus on creating outputs that add real value.
It's this level of technical experience and outside-the-box thinking that Mostafa will bring to his leadership of Pick Everard’s health and safety team, providing best-in-class delivery.
Mostafa said: "Adding true value through effective health and safety risk management is becoming increasingly important to clients, and I'm excited to continue to drive this forward at Pick Everard, with a clear vision of where our growth, and brand of safety delivery will see us positioned in five years.
"Especially when considering the Building Safety Act, there is now a bigger focus than ever to integrate safety, design, and construction approaches, creating buildings that will remain compliant and safe into the future. Developing best practice and applying bespoke approaches to every scheme will be critical – and is something I’m hugely passionate about. I'm looking forward to working with our team to find the solutions that add true value for our clients.
"Building both internal and external relationships will be key to our growth and developing the service line even further, including a greater focus on occupational health and safety, alongside our construction and CDM specialty. The culture at Pick Everard provides a perfect springboard for this, making it a perfect fit for me as an individual – but also for driving the team forward as leaders in the industry."
