The play space in Foxhill, North Watford, has been transformed following a £12,500 grant from Watford Borough Council's Neighbourhood Grant programme.
Previously showing signs of wear and tear, the play area has been upgraded to meet the evolving needs of the community, particularly as new families have moved into the area as part of ongoing regeneration efforts. The revitalised space now boasts modern amenities, inclusive equipment, and enhanced landscaping, creating an inviting environment for residents of all ages.
The project was shaped by input from local residents, ensuring the upgrades reflected the community’s preferences and priorities. Watford Community Housing led the initiative, aiming to provide a safe and high-quality outdoor space for families to gather, children to play, and neighbours to connect.
The next round of funding from the Neighbourhood Grant programme is scheduled for 2025.
