Construction News Image
Salisbury Coach Park and the main footpaths through the Central Car Park have reopened following an extensive transformation by the Environment Agency as part of the River Park scheme.

The upgraded facilities aim to provide a more welcoming and comfortable experience for coach passengers visiting Salisbury city centre.

Enhanced Facilities for Visitors

Located on Mill Stream Approach, the drop-off coach park now features six spaces designated for drop-off and pick-up only, while an additional 10 spaces for coach layovers are available at the Layover Coach Park within the Central Car Park.

The renovations include several key upgrades:

• Improved drainage and lighting

• Clear signage and wayfinding

• Landscaped areas featuring native trees and shrubs

• A small pocket park south of Elai Restaurant

• A welcoming seating area with an information board near the new footbridge

The Coach Park’s toilet block has been revitalised with a striking mural by local artist Fred Fieber, showcasing the rich ecology of Salisbury’s rivers.

The reopened coach park and upgraded paths form a vital part of the River Park scheme, enhancing the city’s infrastructure while promoting sustainability and biodiversity.
