Saint-Gobain has announced a binding agreement to acquire Kilwaughter, a prominent UK and Ireland-based manufacturer of façade mortars, known for its well-established brands, K Rend and K Systems.
The acquisition will enhance Saint-Gobain’s portfolio in light and sustainable construction in the region. Kilwaughter operates a manufacturing facility near Larne, Northern Ireland, employs around 200 people, and focuses on technical expertise and system specification. In the fiscal year ending April 2024, the company reported revenues of approximately £50 million.
The deal, set to close in the first half of 2025 pending standard conditions, aligns with Saint-Gobain's "Grow & Impact" strategy to reinforce its leadership in the building materials sector. Once completed, Kilwaughter will be integrated into Saint-Gobain's Northern Europe operations.
