The UK's largest built environment event, UK Construction Week (UKCW), has officially opened its doors at the NEC in Birmingham.
Running from October 1 to October 3, this year's event promises to draw thousands of industry professionals eager to explore cutting-edge developments across the construction sector. With over 300 exhibitors, UKCW showcases a broad spectrum of innovative products and services designed to drive the industry forward.
The event features a stellar lineup of keynote speakers, including Richard Parker, Mayor of the West Midlands; Mark Reynolds, Group Chairman and CEO of Mace; and Richard Cook, Group Director of Development at Clarion Housing Group. Their insights are expected to shape discussions on the future of the built environment, sustainability and digital transformation.
This year marks the launch of two new specialist shows, Onsite On Hire and the Roofing, Cladding, Insulation Expo, expanding the event's focus to niche sectors within construction. However, the spotlight remains firmly on technology, with BIM (Building Information Modelling), AI, automation, and robotics driving many of the discussions and presentations.
At the Digital Construction Hub, key topics will span across all three days:
Day One will feature talks on Digital Twin technology, data-driven blueprints, and digitalisation in offsite construction.
Day Two explores the future of AI in property, the role of centralised data for compliance and sustainability, and delivering the 'Golden Thread' of data across projects.
Day Three delves into mobilising and commercialising Digital Twins, workforce challenges, and the use of unique identification systems in UK construction.
Some of the industry's top exhibitors, including Accruent, Bricsys, Planradar, Xpedeon, IDEAGEN, and MERS, will be presenting their latest tech and innovations, offering attendees a chance to engage with the next generation of construction solutions.
Attendees can also participate in free workshops, live demonstrations, and numerous networking opportunities, making UKCW an essential event for professionals across the sector.
Please feel free to engage with our team at Construction.co.uk who are delighted to be part of this exciting event. We can also book a meeting with you, simply email stempleton@construction.co.uk to arrange a suitable time.
