Galliford Try has completed the construction of the Energy Central Learning Hub in Blyth, a significant initiative to bolster the region’s green energy sector.

The new £12.3 million facility, developed in collaboration with the Port of Blyth, Northumberland County Council and the Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult, is designed to cultivate a skilled workforce to support Northumberland's growing green energy industry.

The new building is part of the wider Energy Central regeneration scheme in Blyth that is creating a growth cluster for companies operating in the offshore energy, subsea, decommissioning, battery manufacturing and renewable energy markets.

The Energy Central Learning Hub consists of modern teaching facilities together with a clean energy-focused visitor centre, and will offer high-quality training and employment opportunities for local residents, equipping them with the skills required to thrive in the renewable energy industry.
