Amrin Resources Ltd are approaching the completion of inspection works to address life critical fire safety risks at Beetham Tower, Liverpool with the replacement of existing curtain-walling and combustible insulation with a non-combustible alternative system and remediation of pre-cast concrete panels from within apartments.
The project is 26 storeys in height and sits opposite the Liver building at the mouth of the Mersey. The external works were undertaken by way of mast climbers with the internal works undertaken on a progressive basis by decanting occupants as works proceeded.
Challenges were the high winds encountered in the open expanse of the Mersey river into the Irish sea and the unusually poor weather throughout 2023 and managing expectations of occupants of the flats when de canting for short periods.
