Lendlease has signed contracts to deliver improvements to the UK's Defence estate.
The contracts include the mostly new-build construction of live, work and train facilities on-site at Imjin Barracks near Gloucester and two other construction projects across the Midlands and Wales. Altogether the contracts, which have been procured under the Defence Estate Optimisation (DEO) Army Programme by the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO), are worth up to an estimated £450m.
All of the works will aim to improve the lived experience of Army personnel and are focussed on delivering a better structured, modern and more sustainable defence estate.

We strive to provide economic, social and environmental benefits to the communities where we work and these facilities stand to create an outstanding environment for our armed forces to train, work and live in."

The works were awarded through the Ministry of Defence’s Strategic Alliance Contract, which is designed to facilitate long-term relationships built on working together through best practice and shared ideals of collaboration.

These major infrastructure projects will make a significant and enduring contribution to supporting military capability, modernising the Army estate and making it more sustainable, whilst delivering value for money for Defence."
