A replacement footbridge at Uddingston station has officially opened.
The old footbridge will be removed this Saturday night. There will be temporary parking changes on the platform 2 side overnight to allow crane access.
The next phase of work is to upgrade the station's power supply to support the two new lifts which are set to open to the public later this summer.
To enable these works, Network Rail will be closing the road and car park on the Glasgow-bound platform 1 side.
Once complete, the new structure will make it easier to use the station for those with mobility difficulties, and people travelling with bicycles, pushchairs or heavy luggage.
