Since its inception in 2016, the partnership has also resulted in thousands of homes across the city being made warmer and more energy efficient, while generating significant levels of social value in the community and creating over 30 new apprenticeships for local people.

Paul Bingham, Regional Operations Director at Equans UK & Ireland, said: "We're delighted that the council has chosen to enter into this new contract, providing the opportunity for us to build on our existing successful partnership. Our aim during the contract period is to work with the council to make further improvements, so that we can continue to provide a first-class service to their housing residents.

"The council has been clear in its commitment to investing in housing across the city, and we’re proud that we can support them in their aim to create warmer, safer and more energy efficient places that people are proud to call home."
