M Group Services has acquired AgilityEco, a leading player in the regulated home decarbonisation, fuel poverty and energy efficiency sector.
It becomes a part of M Group Services' Energy Division.
A B-Corp organisation, AgilityEco works with energy providers, local authorities and other commercial organisations, providing home decarbonisation services at scale to deliver energy efficiency, reduce utility bills, alleviate pressure on household finances and support vulnerable customers. The Company supports the transition to greener homes, helping to meet the UK’s net zero target.
AgilityEco's key clients include energy retailers such as British Gas, Scottish Power, Octopus Energy, Ovo Energy, National Grid, and local authorities including Portsmouth and Oxfordshire County Councils, many of whom already work in partnership with M Group Services and its operating businesses.
AgilityEco's strong market position and breadth of capability will enhance M Group Services’ existing electricity, gas and renewable energy capabilities, which provide end-to-end infrastructure and retail services to the UK energy sector.
The acquisition strengthens the long-term strategy of M Group Services' Energy Division, providing new opportunities to further develop the Group’s long-term client relationships in the energy sector.
AgilityEco's asset light business model and exposure to visible long-term regulatory frameworks are highly complementary to M Group Services’ existing business and strategy.
Andrew Findlay, M Group Services Chief Executive, said: "The acquisition of AgilityEco represents an extension of our capabilities to deliver essential services to our existing energy and local authority clients. These services enable our clients to meet their regulatory obligations and support the delivery of their ambitious decarbonisation agendas.
"Acquisitions with adjacent capabilities serving existing clients are a fundamental part of our continuing growth strategy and we are delighted to further enhance our Group capabilities with the acquisition of AgilityEco.
"M Group Services is a recognised leader in the sector for our commitment to ESG (environment, social value and governance). Our acquisition of AgilityEco reinforces this commitment, significantly enhancing our contribution towards achieving the UK’s net zero target."
