Galliford Try has announced two new key appointments to its Infrastructure business, with Jon McRae and Andrew Arpino joining its National Highways and Local Authorities business streams, respectively.
With more than 28 years' experience in the industry, Jon McRae joins from Balfour Beatty where he was Commercial Director holding senior roles on major projects such as the A14 and HS2. Jon has been appointed to the role of Sector Commercial Director for the National Highways business and is a member of both the Institution of Civil Engineer Surveyors and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
Separately, Andrew Arpino has been promoted to the role of Sector Commercial Director for the Local Authorities business. Andrew, who also started his career as a Quantity Surveyor, has more than 25 years' industry experience and has been with Galliford Try for nine years progressing through a number of roles.
In their new roles, Andrew and Jon will work with Richard Towse, Infrastructure Commercial Director, to lead on commercial activities and oversee relationships with key clients across their respective sectors.
The newly-created roles come on the back of a recent realignment of the Infrastructure team which saw three business streams of National Highways, Local Authorities and Major Projects enabling the business to continue its growth strategy in its core sectors, and create the agility to export its extensive capability and high performance into adjacent markets
Welcoming the announcement, David Lowery, Managing Director of Galliford Try Infrastructure, said: "I'm delighted with these new appointments which demonstrate both our ability to attract new high-quality talent to our business, and our commitment to developing our own people, which are key objectives for us as a people-orientated business.
"It is an exciting time for our business as we continue to grow, and I look forward to working with Andrew and Jon in their new roles as we continue to make excellent progress on our sustainable growth strategy and 2026 strategic objectives."
