A new innovation hub is to be developed at The Future Works in Slough, Berkshire.
AshbyCapital has teamed up with flexible workspace provider, Plus X Innovation to create the new hub.
Its latest hub will include 23,644 sq ft, over the ground, first and second floor of Ashby's 100,000 sq ft office development, and will open later this year.
The workspace will offer a diverse range of features, including a workshop area that accommodates over £300,000 worth of specialist prototyping equipment. Additionally, there will be tech-enabled meeting rooms, co-working areas for members, studio offices, breakout spaces, sound-proof phone booths, and a host of productivity-focused amenities.
The building boasts an array of amenities, including a spacious 3,100 sq ft communal roof terrace that offers views of Windsor Castle. Other features include Lucy's Kitchen, an all-day café, a grand double-height reception area, and basement parking equipped with electric car charging spaces.
Tom Smithers, property director at AshbyCapital, said: "Previously named the most productive place in the UK, the Plus X Innovation hub will further embellish Slough’s status as one of the country’s best locations to do business."
Paul Rostas, co-CEO at Plus X Innovation, said: "We are particularly pleased to be coming to Slough, due to the diverse business community and talent pool, especially given the town’s proximity to Brunel University. We already have a strong relationship with Brunel, having worked together for over eight years on our internationally renowned hardware accelerator, securing over £5m in funding from Research England, HEFCE and ERDF."
