Property developer Pioneer Group has been granted planning permission build a new lab space in Cardiff.
Planning permission was granted by Cardiff City Council for the new two-storey building based at the Cardiff Edge Science Park development.
The project includes 54,500 square feet of lab and office space as well as 10,00 square feet of amenity space for restaurants and cafes.
Cardiff Edge Science Park was acquired by Pioneer Group in April 2021. It already hosts premises for Cytiva, Cardiff and Vale University Local Health Board and DEFRA.
The new premises adds to Pioneer Group's portfolio of more than four million square feet of office, laboratory and manufacturing space throughout the UK and Ireland, including sites in London, Cambridge, Nottingham, Manchester, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Dublin.
