639-Home Scheme Approved By Trafford Council

A 639 residential home scheme has been approved by Trafford Council.

The plans form part of the wider Lumina Village mixed-use development opposite Lancashire Cricket Club, which is a joint venture partnership between Trafford Council and Bruntwood.

Developer Glenbrook Property will be responsible for delivering the project, with designs by Sheppard Robson and Avison Young acting as planning consultant.

The scheme will consist of a combination of one, two, three, and four-bedroom houses as well as apartments.

The 586 apartments will be delivered across six blocks ranging from six to 20 storeys in addition to 53 townhouses.

The development will also include 5.4-acres of pedestrian-friendly public realm, including a central village green, civic squares, boulevards and play streets, along with 200 secure parking spaces located on the periphery of the scheme.

Commenting on the plans, Cllr Tom Ross, Leader of Trafford Council, said: "Trafford Council is totally committed to providing new and affordable homes throughout the borough and this scheme – part of our Civic Quarter Area Action Plan - will deliver exactly that. We will be creating a thriving new community in this area."

Reflecting on their involvement, Shannon Conway, residential director at Glenbrook said: "We have enjoyed working closely and collaboratively with Trafford Council and Bruntwood to ensure that Lumina Village's residential aspirations are not only met, but exceeded. We are very much looking forward to getting started and delivering a beautiful, highly liveable, car-free neighbourhood focussed on wellbeing and community."
